There are very few celebrities who take criticism well. Even fewer really own the label placed on them for something they did. However, Alaska Thunderfuck has taken the nickname “Queen of Snakes” to the next level.
Since being accused by fans of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” for being “the snake in the grass” that the other contestants should watch out for, she has owned that title with as much gusto as her title of winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars” Season 2.
In her latest music video, she talks about how her ambition was mistaken for “snake skin” and says that people came after her because she did all that she could to make it to the top and be the best.
I love how this video takes something meant to be hurtful and to belittle her and yet owns it for the gods. People will try to tear you down, but we should be more like Alaska and take that trash they thrown and make it something beautiful.
