Yeah, finding parking, and even driving, on Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood can be difficult. Unless you’re someone who is rich and famous.
That would be Justin Bieber, whose history in West Hollywood is pretty much just about car calamities — the rear-ending incident last year on Sunset (not his fault), getting busted in 2014 for an illegal left turn on red (and having an expired vehicle license), and then pinning a paparazzi with his Ferrari as he drove away from the Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard one night in 2013.
The video above shows Bieber getting some help as he pulls out of the garage at Dogpound, the elite new gym, in his understated gray Lamborghini. The gym’s staff is aggressively stopping traffic, and apparently also roughing up the person shooting the video, to help the B-Boy go on his way.
Dogpound, which opened on May 9, is the Los Angeles branch of a New York City gym where, as the Hollywood Reporter reported, “On any given day, one might be doing burpees, chest presses and planks right next Taylor Swift, Gerard Butler, Ryan Seacrest, fashion designer Marc Jacobs, Laura Harrier, Ansel Elgort, Hugh Jackman, director Steve McQueen, Steve Coogan, Shay Mitchell, Cindy Crawford or a bevy of fashion models such as Christy Turlington, Ashley Graham, Adriana Lima, Hailey Baldwin, Jasmine Tookes and Karlie Kloss.”
It is located at 627 N. Robertson Blvd., once the home of a tanning salon and across the street from Lisa Vanderpump’s Sur, the site of the reality TV series “Vanderpump Rules” and a draw reality
“Dogpound provides its high-profile clientele, including industry leaders in fashion, business, and entertainment, with a peerless personalized training experience that has received wide acclaim and has created passionate loyalists,” the press release states. “The West Hollywood location will bring on new partners and serve as a studio for founder members, including entertainer Adam Levine.”
Want to join? You’d better move fast. The New York City location is said to have 300 clients and a waiting list of more than 100 people. And you have to get a referral from an existing client (Justin Bieber?) to get in.
The good news is there is no membership fee. It’s all one-on-one training (with the occasional semi-private session.) A 60-minute private session costs $200. Twelve sessions are $2,280, 24 are $4,200 and 50 are $7,500. But if you’re doing a workout with Dogpound founder Kirk Myers, you need to be ready to shell out $1,000 an hour.
That’s a bit pricey compared to the $372 for four training sessions at 24 Hour Fitness on Santa Monica Boulevard, where the average
It’s also interesting that the former parking area for this building seems to now be used for exercise space. On the occasion there is a car parked inside, it shares the space with people working out around it…..Strange.
It’s possible Bieber never asked for this service nor expected it. He may have been perfectly willing to wait his turn. But what’s he supposed to do when traffic is stopped for him; sit there?

Haha, this video is absurd. Can’t even see who is in the car. Also, those guys helping him did everyone a service. If it was Justin, the paparazzi chase him all the time, so it could turn into a real shit show. How wealthy people spend their money is their business. Plenty of other gyms in Weho for the rest of you poor whiners.
I hope the photographer took this to the Sheriff and filed assualt charges against thos a- (ahem) employees.
Brain damaged steroid swilling idiots illegally impeding traffic. Hey Biber, wait to exit when it’s safe to exit. What an entitled Moran.
So this starts out as a report on asshole trainers illegally blocking traffic for their clients and roughing up the person videoing but quickly turns into an ad for the gym. Most of this “reporting” is an ad for the gym.
Seems entirely staged. Most folks with real wealth don’t behave like this let alone try to attract attention by their cars or behavior. They certainly wouldn’t patronize such a foolish rip off gym because they have one installed at home. Folks with too much time on their hands looking for attention.
Juvenile! Welcome to West Hollywood, Peter Panville where everyone years to be a spectacle.
I feel he’s another Entitled person. Sad that some people with money , set a bad precedent for others. I could care less if he has money. I judge people on their behavior. Money or no money.
I though it was going to be an indoor dog park. But it ended up being just a place for knuckleheads and dumbbells.
West Hollywood has always had a bit of a pretentious bent. However, in the past 10 years or so, it’s gone stratospheric. I blame the reality-based, self-important individuals that the city has allowed to set up shop.
Think you might be quoting 24 hour prices from 10 years ago. I believe prices today are around $50 (maybe $45 with a discounted membership).
I couldn’t name a song by JB. I like music from the 60’s, 70’s 80’s and some from the 90’s. I do remember how cute he was on SNL with the church lady, but I wouldn’t know who he was if I walked past him today. I don’t think that “regular” people should be inconvenienced by blocking traffic for celebrities. He is a grown man, he should be able to negotiate the traffic just like the rest of us, if not he should get a driver or build a gym in his house. Also, BTW, as a Certified Fitness Trainers… Read more »
Well said
Agree completely. I too would not know him if he was standing next to me. As for the DPLA employees, they should be extremely happy and blessed that at their direction no one was hurt or any accident occurred, holding them responsible for it with no authority to be directing traffic. What a unfortunate show of entitlement.
