West Hollywood recorded four new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday while Los Angeles County reported 3,692 new cases.
Those numbers are lower than the reported numbers in recent days, but still high. On Monday, the county had 6,124 new cases, the highest one day total ever.
That brings West Hollywood’s cumulative total of cases to 893 since the coronavirus pandemic began in March. For Los Angeles County, the cumulative total now stands at 374,134 positive cases since March.
COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to accelerate at alarming speed. There are 1,575 people with COVID-19 currently hospitalized and 26% of those people are in the ICU. Just two weeks ago, there were 888 people with COVID-19 hospitalized.
Since the pandemic began, a cumulative total of 27,228 have been hospitalized with COVID-19.
West Hollywood reported no new deaths on Tuesday. The city has cumulative total of eight deaths from COVID since March. Meanwhile, Los Angeles County reported 51 deaths on Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,497 deaths since March.
Of the 51 new deaths reported Tuesday, 18 people who passed away were over 80 years old, 19 people who died were between 65 and 79 years old, 12 people who died were between 50 and 64 years old and one person who died was between 30 and 49 years old.
Of those 51 deaths reported on Tuesday, 41 people had underlying health conditions, according to data from the health department.

- Beverly Hills – 11 new cases for a total of 927 cases.
- Culver City – 8 new cases for a total of 586 cases.
- Hollywood – 15 new cases for a total of 1,778 cases.
- Melrose neighborhood – 22 new cases for a total of 2,686 cases.
- Park La Brea – 1 new case for a total of 184 cases.
Beverly Hills has a cumulative total of 11 deaths since the pandemic began, while Culver City has a cumulative total of 30 deaths.
Hollywood has a cumulative total of 19 deaths, while the Melrose neighborhood has a cumulative total of 80 deaths. Park La Brea has had one death since the pandemic began.
