Ho, Ho, Ho. Happy Holidays!
Tis the season to be jolly and we certainly need reasons to be jolly this holiday season with the coronavirus pandemic raging on and people out of work.
One of the things which helps make people jolly is the decorations they put up for the holidays. They add spark of excitement to the home and a bit of joy to the heart. Just making that extra effort to adorn the home with decorations can brighten your day and enliven the whole holiday season for that matter.
That’s why WEHOville wants to see how you deck the halls of your home. How do you put the fa la la la la in your abode? Is it a brightly lit tree with special ornaments? Is it a lavish wreath greetings guests at your door? Is it garland and decorations on the mantle? Or something else entirely?
Show us what you’re doing to make your home merrier for the holidays. WEHOville is sponsoring a special TreeHoville and Holiday decorations contest with prizes for the best and even tackiest decorations.
Send us photos of your decorations, whether it’s the Christmas tree, Hanukkah bush, Christmas lights or whatever you to do celebrate the holidays. Make sure the photos are high resolution. We want to be able to really examine the decorations carefully.
This is a contest, so don’t just point the camera and shoot. You’ll increase your chances of winning if you set the photo up with best angle and the right lighting to get the perfect shot.
WeHo’s own Bob Pranga, better known as Dr. Christmas, has agreed to serve as the judge for this contest. Dr. Christmas has made a career out of decorating for the holidays. Those Hallmark Christmas movies? He did the holiday decorations for several of them. The movie Elf? He made that movie merrier with his holiday stylings. Ever been to the Beverly Hilton during the holidays? Those extravagant decorations are all his handiwork too.
Stars and celebrities routinely hire Dr. Christmas to custom decorate their homes for the holidays. And WEHOville has hired him to judge this contest.
First prize is a two-night stay at the La Peer Hotel at 627 N. La Peer Dr.
Second prize is an $80 gift certificate to Marco’s Trattoria at 8200 Santa Monica Blvd.
Third prize is a $50 gift certificate to Miss Melbourne Coffee at 1051 N Havenhurst Dr.
The prize for tackiest decorations will be a $100 gift certificate to Kitchen 24 at 8575 Santa Monica Blvd.

Rules – Winners must be located in West Hollywood. To prove you are in West Hollywood we will require you to submit a video showing you are in West Hollywood. What if the grand prize was $100 for your favorite dive bar?
only drunks frequent the bars in WH. just have the contest for fun……no awards for the drunks.
I got some decorations that some would consider tacky.It would be fun to enter the contest and get that gift certificate from Kitchen 24. However,I am not a West Hollywood resident,so I will have to pass on this one.
