Allied Universal to take over West Hollywood’s Security Ambassadors program starting October 1

A major shift is coming to West Hollywood’s street-level safety and hospitality presence. Starting Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Allied Universal Security Services will officially take the reins of the West Hollywood Security Ambassadors program, a key initiative that helps keep the city safe, walkable, and welcoming. This shift is not without some controversy as previously reported here

Why it matters for West Hollywood:

  • The Security Ambassadors program plays a vital role in supporting public safety and enhancing the quality of life in busy corridors like Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood Park, and local nightlife areas.

  • Uniformed ambassadors are a visible presence on foot, on bikes, and at kiosks throughout the city, acting as a helpful resource for residents and visitors while also supplementing the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.

  • The partnership with Allied Universal, a nationally recognized provider of security services, signals a refreshed approach to street-level safety without disrupting the current structure of the program.

Community Meetings + Job Opportunities

To introduce the community to Allied Universal and recruit new Security Ambassadors, the City of West Hollywood will host two open-to-the-public Community Meetings and Job Fairs. No RSVP is required, and both events are free to attend:

  • Tuesday, September 16, 2025 | 6–7:30 PM
Plummer Park Community Center, Rooms 5 & 6
7377 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood
Free surface parking available (first-come, first-served)

  • Tuesday, September 23, 2025 | 6–7:30 PM
West Hollywood Park Aquatic & Recreation Center, Doheny Room
8750 El Tovar Place, West Hollywood
Validated parking available at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard

What Allied Universal Will Provide

  • Unarmed Security Ambassadors in a variety of roles: foot patrols, bike patrols, fixed posts, kiosk staffing, special event coverage, and transit safety.

  • Continued structure and leadership with team leaders, supervisors, safety officers, and a general manager.

  • An emphasis on hospitality and approachability, supporting residents and tourists alike where they shop, dine, and gather.

The scam on taxpayers continues ! City hall is clearly making contracts with security companies, just to pocket the excess money by hiring minorities ! The big major shift is,the security officers are herding the homeless off of major streets, into residential neighborhoods, where they try opening doors of houses, garages, mail boxes ect. The city should use the money to house the homeless rather than making money off of them, while putting residents in harms way ! ! !

“a key initiative that helps keep the city safe, walkable, and welcoming.”
ONLY a Far Left moron with a hole in their head actually believes this slapstick.

trackback

[…] At Monday nights Public Safety Commission the ‘Block by Block’ Security Ambassadors gave its final report.   Earlier this year the City of West Hollywood pulled the contract with ‘Block by Block’ and awarded the new multi-million dollar contract to Allied Universal.   https://wehoonline.com/allied-universal-take-west-hollywoods-security-ambassadors-program-starting-o… […]

Will the BBB name remain or will the city have to rebrand everything?
