April 29: ‘Safeguarding Our Rights’ Town Hall and Resource Fair

The City of West Hollywood will hold a Town Hall and Resource Fair titled “Safeguarding Our Rights – The First 100 Days” on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the City’s Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard. The event, announced on April 17, 2025, aims to address the impacts of the Trump Administration’s first 100 days, which have included efforts to cut programs and funding for vulnerable groups like LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrants, women, and marginalized communities.

The free event will feature leading advocacy groups discussing the Administration’s actions and their effects on these communities. It kicks off with a Resource Fair at 6:30 p.m., where attendees can connect with organizations for advocacy tools and information. A panel discussion at 7 p.m. will include representatives from groups like ACLU Southern California, APLA Health, CHIRLA, Equality California, Los Angeles LGBT Center, Planned Parenthood, and TransLatin@ Coalition, focusing on upcoming challenges and collective action. A Q&A session will follow at 8:30 p.m. Attendance requires an RSVP via Eventbrite at go.weho.org/townhall.

The event will be broadcast live on WeHoTV (Spectrum Cable Channel 10 in West Hollywood) and streamed on the City’s WeHoTV YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/wehotv), website (www.weho.org/wehotv), and platforms like AppleTV, Amazon FireTV, AndroidTV, and Roku by searching “WeHoTV.”

The City of West Hollywood remains dedicated to protecting all residents, including LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrants, women, people with disabilities, older adults, and BIPOC communities. In December 2024, the City Council unanimously reaffirmed its commitment to inclusion, vowing to defend the rights and well-being of those facing discrimination, both locally and beyond.
