BAN THE BOTS

As you can see, the person operating this somewhere in the aether apparently has no control of this device running a red light, stalling out in a crosswalk and posing a danger to drivers. This is the intersection of Crescent Heights and Santa Monica Blvd.

This has also occurred at La Brea, on La Cienega at Holloway and Fountain and Fuller, to my knowledge. Undoubtedly at other intersections as well.

I’ve asked the city to add this to the complaints list.

Sincerely,

And they endanger pedestrians on our narrow sidewalks, not to mention obstruct people in wheelchairs. The recent vote to allow bigger and faster???

We should ban them, they are so annoying and take jobs away from humans.

An article in Futurism shows a Waymo self driving car smashing the hell out of a delivery bot, really worth watching?. Now DON’T even consider banning the bots with all the fun we are having, just imagine entertainment we are going to have with the flying delivery drones as well❗

I saw one of these delivery Robots arguing with a Waymo for the right of way on Santa Monica and Fairfax. The Waymo finally had enough and ran over him (maybe her or them, no declared pronoun on it). Speeding away, the Waymo left a trail of mashed burritos and salsa in its wake. It was pretty horrific.

Well I think West Hollywood & even DTLA would be much better off if they just ban private automobles going completely carfree❗ The bots & drones could do most of the deliveries and public transit? could be built up to handle all our transportation needs.

Work out the kinks and keep this service rollin-rollin rollin.

Don’t be robophobic! These robots are only trying to do their job and get that food–or weed– to appreciative customers.

I don’t know if they drive themselves or if someone is driving them from a remote location , but as convenient as they may be, they several times have clipped my dogs hind leg and literally sped up behind me. I was walking slower than usual as I’m recovering from surgery and I must have inconvenienced them.

You operating your mobile device while driving is “posing a danger to drivers.”

Yup! This is becoming more frequent. They are also starting to have no care for people walking down the street and will proceed to go full steam ahead and force YOU off the sidewalks , lol.
