BlockParty’s Trick or Treat ‘Grab Bag’ Halloween

$5, $10, $15… with values double, triple or quadruple!  BlockParty WeHo cleaned out one of the largest distributors of Halloween merchandise in the nation.    The boxes are piled high.    Trade show samples, showroom samples, overruns.. a Halloween Trick or Treat.

But, you need to Dig into the box.    Each box is unique, – Masks, hats, swords, glasses, and on and on…..

This fun sale, the customers and salespeople are all enjoying the energy is dedicated to my mom, – she would put on a hat and play ‘let’s make a deal’ with the customers to move end of season inventory.   We grew up in the flea market of Roosevelt Field selling my uncle’s Jordache brands, the flea market spot a rite of passage handed down to me, and then my sister, and then my brother.    We all had to hustle.   Mom made sure her kids were independent.

We are about to celebrate out Sweet 16, on October 16th, .. And we are making some changes to keep pace with the $530 a day rent.

In the old days  the vendors would say ‘your in Beverly Hills…you can get it’.   But we always undersold the price.   I’m never gonna be undersold.    Even when the brands dictate the minimum pricing.   But the industry is changing… One top vendor Andrew Christian have designed their last collection.   Another top vendor Addicted/ES comes from Barcelona, Spain… the prices are up like crazy..  Tariffs and the exchange rate have pushed a $48 retail swim short to $68.

We can’t only be for him and he anymore.    We have to be for she and her and they and them too.    Trick or Treat, ..      .   Oh, btw, you also get a free bag with purchase.

BlockParty is a proud participant in the WEHO LOVES LOCALS resident and gift card program.   For more information on how you can save at BlockParty and other West Hollywood businesses log on to www.weholocals.com

And ps.. no comments the rent is too high.   The rent is not too high.   The sales are too low.    And if business is tough its up to the business owner to be creative, buy it better, offer better service, make changes to create revenue, or drive their business forward or close.   Don’t want bad landlord comments. We have a very good landlord..16 years..long…but the homeless lay in front of the store..the streets are dead during the day… I often wonder..is there room for a wacky gay store in WeHo anymore?

West Hollywood City officials do not care about small businesses. Period. Between a disasterous city manager who never should have had the job in the first place, to worthless three stooges on the council, there is unfortunately minimal chance that most small businesses will survive. I too had an excellent landlord in West Hollywood for my last business. It was the filth, crime, corruption, and those 3 shreds of detritus on the council who finally got me to move my last business out of the city about 16 months ago, after operating different businesses in the city for more than… Read more »
