As the Jewish New Year approaches, Chabad of the Sunset Strip invites the West Hollywood community to join in meaningful High Holiday services and events designed for both longtime participants and newcomers alike.
Whether you’re looking for traditional Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, family-friendly programming, or simply a moment of reflection during a chaotic time in the world, Chabad Sunset Strip offers a welcoming and non-judgmental space to reconnect—with yourself, with purpose, and with community.
What’s Being Offered
This year’s High Holiday programming includes:
Traditional Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services
Family services geared toward children and parents
Community shofar blowing
Spiritual talks and reflections throughout the holidays
A warm, inclusive, and inspiring environment for people of all backgrounds
No prior experience, Hebrew knowledge, or religious observance is required to attend. Chabad Sunset Strip emphasizes openness and authenticity—focusing on the personal and spiritual meaning of the holidays.
A Message from Chabad Sunset Strip
In a heartfelt message to the community, Rabbi Mordechai Kirschenbaum and Pessa Kirschenbaum shared:
“Things feel chaotic right now—geopolitically, socially, and emotionally. But Rosh Hashanah is your soul’s reset button. It’s about turning down the noise around us and tuning into something deeper—something timeless, real, and yours.”
They added that the High Holidays are a time to gather, reflect, and reconnect—not just with faith, but with each other.
“Whether you’ve joined us before or are new to the community, our doors are open to you. You don’t have to be religious to show up—just open to something meaningful.”
