The City of West Hollywood has lowered all flags within city boundaries to half-mast in honor of the late Charlie Kirk. Kirk was assassinated this past Wednesday at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
President Donald Trump ordered all flags across the nation to be flown at half-mast until September 14th. Kirk was a conservative activist with close ties to the Trump administration. Kirk’s rhetoric has erupted debate on social media.
“He fought for liberty, democracy, justice and the American people,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social about Kirk. “He’s a martyr for truth and freedom and there’s never been anyone who was so respected by youth.” Kirk was quite outspoken in his conservative values, often pitching anti-gay or anti-trans rhetoric. He called the ‘Civil Rights Act’ a mistake and invited people to debate him face to face on his ‘Prove Me Wrong’ tour.

Wilson is literally one of the worst city managers I’ve seen in any city. He has no clue how to serve this community. He has no control over his staff and his right hand is ignorant to what his left hand is doing. His retirement can’t come soon enough.
