EAH Housing has launched construction on Marigold West, a new affordable housing complex for seniors at 1041 N. Martel Avenue in West Hollywood, marking its second project in the city this year.
Developed in collaboration with the St. Joseph Center, Marigold West will offer 50 apartments—studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms ranging from 344 to 966 square feet—for residents aged 62 and older. Twenty-five of these units are reserved for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness, addressing critical housing needs in the region.
“Marigold West marks our latest development in Los Angeles County and another step forward in addressing the region’s housing needs,” said EAH Housing chief executive officer Laura Hall. “This development reflects our ongoing commitment to creating high-quality, affordable housing that supports residents and strengthens communities. We’re deeply grateful to the City of West Hollywood and our partners for making this vision possible.”
Designed by KFA Architecture and built by United Building Company, the five-story, 47,472-square-foot structure will feature a community center, multipurpose room, lounge, multiple outdoor decks, and parking for 19 vehicles. Funded through tax credits and a mix of public and private sources, the project is slated for completion in 2026.
Marigold West follows EAH Housing’s Lexington Gardens, another West Hollywood development that began construction earlier in 2025 at 1201 N. Detroit Street.
Excellent news.
