A woman was found dead at a bus stop in West Hollywood early Thursday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to a report of a deceased person at approximately 6:30 a.m. on January 29th near a bus stop near the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and La Brea. A deputy at the scene confirmed that someone was discovered deceased, but declined to provide additional details. “All we know is that someone was found deceased this morning,” the deputy told WEHOonline at the scene. Authorities indicated there were no signs of foul play in the death.
WEHOonline later spoke with a sheriff’s deputy, who confirmed the deceased was an adult Black female with no evidence of foul play. The body was in a state of rigor mortis when discovered, indicating the woman had been dead for some time. Authorities believe she may have been a transient passing through the area.

This is so tragic. It’s heartbreaking to think about the struggles someone might be facing just sitting at a bus stop. It really makes you appreciate the community we have and how important mental health support is.
Thanks, this is my neigborhood.
