A homicide investigation is underway after human remains were discovered inside the front trunk of an abandoned Tesla at a Hollywood tow yard, just blocks from the West Hollywood city line.
The decomposing body was found Monday afternoon after employees at the impound lot reported a strong odor coming from the vehicle. LAPD officers responded to the scene and located the body in a bag sealed inside the vehicle’s front trunk — also known as the “frunk.”
Key Details:
The Tesla had been towed from the Hollywood Hills approximately five days prior after being reported abandoned.
The vehicle bears Texas license plates and is registered to David Burke, professionally known as D4vd (pronounced “David”).
D4vd is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Queens, New York, known for hit songs like “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.”
He is currently on a world tour, and recent social media posts show he performed in Chicago over the weekend, with upcoming dates in Minneapolis and Los Angeles.
As of publication, D4vd has not been named as a suspect, and there is no official statement from his team regarding the investigation.
Authorities are still working to determine who had access to the car in the days leading up to its discovery at the tow yard.
Investigation Ongoing:
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the deceased.
Detectives are treating the case as a possible homicide, pending results from the autopsy and forensic analysis.
No arrests have been made at this time.

What is a Tesla “Frunk”?
Electric vehicles like Teslas don’t have a traditional engine under the hood. Instead, that space is converted into a front trunk, often referred to as a “frunk.” It functions as additional storage and can only be accessed from inside the car or via the Tesla mobile app.
In this case, the body was found inside that compartment, which may explain why it went unnoticed even after the car was towed and impounded.
A rapper? No surprise.
I expected nothing less from you, you racist POS.
