Duroque Closes West Hollywood Store After 13 Years

Duroque, a West Hollywood staple for contemporary furniture, home decor, and custom neon signs, will close its physical store within the next 30 days, ending a 13-year run. The company, founded in 2010 by Olga Rechdouni, announced that its online business will continue, focusing on bespoke neon signage and interior design services.

Since its inception, Duroque has offered a range of services, from interior design and furniture curation to lighting, kitchen, and drapery design. The firm emphasized blending traditional and contemporary elements, using “recherché colors, furnishings, and textures” to create high-end, visually striking interiors. Under Rechdouni’s direction, a Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising graduate with over 15 years of experience, Duroque developed a signature style that combined objects from different eras and cultures. “Duroque takes pride in designing exquisite interiors that are timeless, unique, and elegant,” the company stated, aiming to craft spaces that “tell stories, evoke emotions and are spectacles of lavishness and amazement.”

In 2012, Duroque expanded into custom neon signs, becoming a go-to for celebrities, artists, and businesses. Its offerings include real glass neon signs, energy-efficient LED neon lights, Infinity Mirror LED signs, and animated or RGB color-changing displays. “At Duroque, we believe neon should be more than a trend — it should be art you feel,” the company noted. These products, handcrafted in its Los Angeles studio, cater to clients seeking personalized decor for homes, events, or commercial spaces. Trusted by industry leaders, Duroque’s neon signs have appeared at events like Art Basel and in collaborations with top designers and brands.

The decision to close the physical store comes amid challenges faced by local retailers, including rising rental costs. The company emphasized its commitment to online operations, offering worldwide shipping and customizable neon designs. “Our mission is simple: to bring your creative vision to life with stunning custom neon signs,” the company said, highlighting its focus on quality, sustainability, and client collaboration.

Duroque’s online platform (https://duroque.com/) will continue to serve interior designers, collectors, and neon enthusiasts, maintaining its reputation for premium craftsmanship. Customers can explore options like personalized neon art, business signage, or statement pieces such as “FIERCE” or “LOVE KILLS” typography, all backed by eco-friendly LED technology and free global shipping. The closure of the West Hollywood store positions Duroque to adapt to a digital-first market, aligning with broader retail trends.
