West Hollywood Council member John Erickson is on go. He has launched his campaign for the California State Senate representing District 24, and he has left his job as the Vice President of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. Erickson is now the Chief of Staff for the Alliance for a Better Community.
The organization’s website lists the “Alliance for a Better Community is advancing social, economic, racial equity and justice for the Latina/o community and the Los Angeles region through power building and policy advocacy.”
The Alliance for a Better Community’s (ABC) vision is to ensure a vibrant Los Angeles region where Latinas/os fully participate in, contribute to and benefit from a prosperous, multi-ethnic community in which families enjoy: Full and meaningful participation in civic and economic arenas, Full access to high-performing schools and increased opportunity to attend college, Quality healthcare and Safe, affordable housing.
In Erickson’s new role as Chief of Staff for the Alliance for a Better Community he is responsible for leading ongoing policy development and strategic lobbying efforts, as well as overseeing the day to day operations.
Planned Parenthood’s gain is The Alliance for a Better Community’s loss! Heaven help us if this lying, disingenuous shred of detritus ever ascends to any higher office. He has orchestrated the destruction of West Hollywood. Let’s hope that the voters are smart enough to reject this lying loser.
I had to unsubscribe him today after receiving an email from “council member. John Erickson,” begging me for money for his state Senate campaign.
I am deeply offended by that!
I heard him promise at the Kol Ami debate that he would serve on the council for the full 4 years if re-elected! First a liar…now a schnorrer!!!
His PHd is in “American Religous History” a basket weaving achievement if I ever saw one. But look how he trumpets it just like Bill Cosby did.
This gig will be more acceptable to voters outside the West Hollywood area than Planned Parenthood.
Now if he’d just leave his position on the council for his new role as failed future State Senate candidate.
Even this joker needs to earn a living. I hope he stops hurting people!
