Outfest, the LGBT film organization, and the City of West Hollywood screen and discuss films of interest to the LGBT community on the first Wednesday of every month. Tickets, $10 for the general public and $6 for Outfest members, are available at the door and may be purchased in advance online.
This month, Outfest presents Coming Out. Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Coming Out, the first (and only) LGBT-themed film produced in East Germany, with a post-screening discussion with Outfest UCLA Legacy Project Manager Alice Royer and guests from the Wende Museum and the ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives. The film holds another unique place in world history: during its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, the Berlin Wall began to be dismantled.
