Paul Starke Awards at the West Hollywood Public Library

The City of West Hollywood honors those who serve people living with HIV/AIDS or work with HIV prevention services. The award is named in memory of Paul Starke a former member of WeHo Life and an employee of Being Alive who died in 2001 of AIDS. Starke worked in social services throughout his life, helping troubled youth, individuals with substance abuse problems and people with HIV/AIDS.
