Young artists challenging images of wealth and power are exhibiting their award-winning pieces this Thursday and Friday and will be available to discuss their work on Friday afternoon. The exhibit features works by the three top finishers in a Pratt Institute-Hennessy V.S art competition that challenged students from a variety of disciplines to create works influenced by their personal passions and by Hennessy’s mantra, “Never stop. Never settle.” The exhibit is a two-day event celebrating an artistic collaboration between Pratt Institute and Hennessy V.S, and a new Limited Edition Hennessy bottle designed by renowned artist Shepard Fairey.
Winners Eduardo Palma (first) and Lillian Ling (third), along with L.A. artist/Pratt alumnus Derrick Adams, will be on-site and available to discuss their work from noon-3 p.m. on Friday. Also on display will be the work of a third student artist, Eden Daniell, who won second place.
