“Temporary Dwelling” is a contemporary ballet choreographed by Chloe Watson and composed by Sean McVerry. The initial thought for the ballet came from a reflective experience while seeking shelter from a hurricane in Middlebury, Conn. Through a series of exchanged information, Watson and McVerry slowly put together video and sound clips to produce the final production. Touching upon themes of nostalgia, memory, and familiarity, the work is brought to life by Bridget Carpenter, who debuted the piece with Ballet Nebraska in Omaha. Watson, McVerry and Carpenter are long-time friends and collaborators; they are graduates of the State University of New York at Purchase College. Suggested Donation $10. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Performance begins at 8:30 p.m.
