Victor Mizrahi grew up in West Hollywood attending Rosewood Elementary. The proud dad has two children. His daughter is still a resident on Huntley Drive with her husband. The family planned to spend Father’s Day in Weho.
It was a fun trip for Victor and his long-term girlfriend Sara Shteremberg. The couple planned on meeting friends in Israel and touring the country, then returning to the USA to spend the Father’s Day weekend with their kids. Their bags were packed on thursday night for pickup on friday morning. They woke up to find that Israel had gone on the offensive to destroy the Iranian nuclear capabilities. All flights were cancelled.
Father’s Day in Jerusalem would begin with a trip to the bomb shelter in the early morning. By the time nightfall came, there would be three separate trips. In Israel, all new construction includes ‘bomb shelters’. A bomb shelter is an underground space built with reinforced materials to protect residents or groups from bombs dropping overhead.
Mizrahi, who is safe in Jerusalem at the time of this writing, gave us a tour of the town on Sunday, June 15th. He won’t be spending Father’s Day in WeHo, but he did share these videos with WEHOonline.
The first bomb shelter was built in the UK, in 1938 by Anderson Shelters with the intent to hold up to six persons for protection from air raids.
Bibi surely has put the Israelis and Palestinians in danger this time.
Between Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran, the military has its hands full.
I read that some Israelis were preventing Palestinian Israelis from entering the bomb shelters.
Some people are simply lovely, aren’t they?
