There’s a new taste in town. ‘First of All’ is now open at 8200 Santa Monica Blvd at the former Marco’s Cafe location on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. at Havenhurst. They are open from 8am to 4pm daily, and soon to extend those hours when they get a liquor license.
I decided to check it out, the name not much of a give a way to the type of cuisine they served. Parking was simple. There is a new giant city owned parking lot right across the street. The space had a new makeover. Similar to Fresh Corn Grill, or Tender Greens you place your order at the counter and a host will bring your food to the table.
It was late Saturday when I passed by and decided to grab lunch. It was good to be back inside the familiar restaurant and meet the new staff. All were friendly. The menu is Mexican inspired, and I went for the Pollo Asada.

Two tacos and chips arrived with salsa on a plate. The chips were freshly made and crunchy and the salsa had a kick but not too much. I was impressed. The tacos were also great. It was a small plate for the $17 cost but one could taste the fresh ingredients and quality.
I’ll be back. Excited to try another dish, and support another West Hollywood business.
If you paid $17 for that plate in the picture, that is not okay. Did I read that right? What is going on here? Are you kidding us?
Continue eating at home; all restaurants are very expensive now.
Come on now. He probably got lunch comped and that’s why this article is here – quid pro quo

Awesome food, friendly staff, and I took my time. I’ll be back next weekend.
It’s called Fast Casual. Reminds me a little of Marilyn Hagerty. Glad it was enjoyed.
Plenty of seating for animals and their owners!
