How Sexy Is Your Smile?
Nothing grabs you more than a smile. And West Hollywood is full of them—sexy smiles, happy smiles, funny smiles, loving smiles.
We are calling out the city’s best smiles with the WeHo Smile Contest, sponsored by VIP Dental Spa. If anyone knows how to make a smile glow, it’s VIP Dental.
How to enter? It’s easy to enter yourself, or an agreeable friend:
The contest is open to residents of WeHo and those who live elsewhere but visit and love us.
1) Send a pic from your mobile phone or camera to [email protected] or post that photo on Instagram with the hashtag #wehosmiles.
2) Include your name and the name of the guy or gal you’ve snapped.
3) The contest ends at midnight on September 6 (we extended the deadline to give you travellers a chance to enter).

Meet our judges:
Darren Gold:
Darren Gold is the founder of Alpha, L.A.’s first go-to emporium for men, which offered a curated offering of chic gifts, gadgets and garb. The store paved the way for future retailers on design-heavy Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood and established the area as an international fashion destination. Currently, Darren is sought after for his expertise as a retail, fashion and merchandising consultant, with a list of clients that includes Brookfield Properties, the Malibu Pier, Intel, Lincoln and Conde Nast. Darren has been pivotal in the launch of numerous brands such as Band of Outsiders, VuDu, Baxter of California, Gregory Siff, Splendid Mills, Adidas Silver and Apt2B.
Darren was recently named the chair of the advisory board of West Hollywood Magazine and served as the chairman of the board of the West Hollywood Design District, a business improvement district of high-end boutiques, galleries and showrooms for eight years.

Lindsey Horvath:
Lindsey Horvath is a member of the West Hollywood City Council, the city’s former mayor and a recent delegate to the Democratic National Convention. Lindsey has a long history of civic and social justice advocacy. She is widely known for her leadership on women’s issues and serves as a global coordinator for One Billion Rising, a campaign of the V-Day movement to end violence against women and girls.
She also is a champion of LGBTQ rights. She has served as a board member of the Victory Fund and a founding board member of the NOH8 Campaign. In 2009, she represented the City of West Hollywood in the National Equality March in Washington D.C. She has also advocated for LGBTQ older adults through her work on the board of Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE). Professionally, Lindsey works as an entertainment advertising executive and has created award-winning campaigns for movies and television.

Tom Sandoval:
Tom, known for his quirky sense of humor and unique style, is the actor/ musician who can be seen on Monday nights bearing his soul on the Sur stage for Vanderpump Rules, where he headlines this season’s storylines with his turbulent relationships and witty commentary. But there’s more to Sandoval than meets the eye.
A self-described metro-man, Tom is the type of guy you would turn to with a serious wardrobe malfunction or for relationship advice. When Tom got punched on the show by his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, he had no shame in wearing a generous amount of concealer to hide the evidence at work. And while he is no stranger to grooming, Tom maintains a genuine appeal that female fans flock to and male fans are drawn to.
