SUNDAY 1/11: ICE OUT FOR GOOD RALLY

Ice Out for Good West Hollywood, a group of local volunteers emerging from the West Hollywood Indivisible group is set to “demonstrate our outrage, our community and our solidarity!”in protest to oppose the ICE Raids sponsored by the Trump Administration.

The rally will take place on Sunday, January 11th at 11am-1pm,  at West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Blvd. across from the Pacific Design Center.

This weekend’s protests are in response to several events, including the killing of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis on Jan. 7, when she was shot during a federal operation. The incident set off protests and a wave of “ICE Out For Good” events, including the one planned in West Hollywood. There was also a suspected ICE detention here in West Hollywood we reported on earlier in the week.

About this event

A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.

Their message says: “We’re excited to have you join our emerging West Hollywood Indivisible group to demonstrate our outrage, our community and our solidarity! This is an emergency response action with little time to advertise. So please join us on Sunday, bring your friends and family, and forward this invitation to those who would be interested.”

The ICE arrestees are largely criminals or at least a major drain on resources. This is misplaced compassion, or compassion without logic.

….. or, these demonstrators are a bunch of do-gooders with too much time on their hands, not a lot of purpose in there lives who really know very little about the cause they’re protesting against, which is the case with most protesters no matter the cause. Of course we have to factor in those who are being paid to protest.

… and of course we must factor in your gross stupidity and lack of humanity.

You’re kidding, right? Not only did the problem start in L.A., so we knew a lot about it from the get-go, but the murder of Mrs. Good, a gay woman, has been top of the national news all week. Yeah, we in WeHo, the preeminent gay town of America, know all about it.

So, what’s your point?

She was a victim of her own poor choices. She would likely have been on murder charges herself had she not been stopped.
