A shooting incident on June 19 has prompted an investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, with a 17-year-old detained as a person of interest. The event took place around 2:38 p.m. at the intersection of Fountain Avenue and Spaulding Avenue. “On Thursday, June 19, at approximately [2:38 p.m.,] a shooting occurred at Fountain Avenue and Spaulding Avenue in the city of West Hollywood,” West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station Sgt. Kevin Bowes said. “Witnesses heard several shots being fired in the area. Deputies found several shell casings in the area. A 17-year-old juvenile is being detained as a person of interest.”
Details on injuries remain uncertain, with no additional victims or suspects identified. “No other victims or suspects have been located,” Bowes added. “The incident is still under investigation.”
