After five years at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Holloway, Isla Cantina is closing. The bar temporarily shut its doors on Friday as it prepared for the opening of “The Backroom” (coming in May). As reported in WEHOville, the space will be part of State Social House, which will also take over the adjacent Red Rock restaurant. The Backroom’s goal is to offer those with a taste for the finer things in life a place to sit back, relax and enjoy a drink while watching a sporting event or enjoying the views of the Sunset Strip.
