Karen Bender discusses her second novel “A Town of Empty Rooms” (Counterpoint, 292 pages, $25) at Book Soup from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Bender released her first novel, “Like Normal People” a decade ago to high acclaim.
Her new book presents Serena and Dan Shine, estranged from one another as they separately grieve over the recent loss of Serena’s father and Dan’s older brother.
