The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center hosts African-American writers for an evening of readings and songs. Those participating include Cleo Anderson, Carlease Burke, Michael Castro, Dale Guy Madison, Iona Morris, Jennifer Leigh Warren and Michael Shepperd. Admission to the event at the Renberg Theatre is free, but reservations must be made online. After the performance there will be a reception in the Advocate and Gochis Galleries, which currently are showing “Ain’t Just Paint: Works from the CCH Pounder Collection.”
