We learned today that Leonid Radvinsky, the billionaire who owned OnlyFans, died March 20. He was only 43.
OnlyFans confirmed his death Monday. “We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky,” a company spokesperson said. “Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. His family have requested privacy at this difficult time.”
The billionaire was born in Odesa, Ukraine. He grew up in Chicago and graduated from Northwestern University in 2002 with a degree in economics.
In 2018, he bought a 75 percent stake in Fenix International Ltd., the London-based parent company that owns and operates OnlyFans. He was the majority owner and a director of the company at the time of his death. The platform reported revenues of $7.2 billion in 2024. Creators keep 80 percent of what subscribers pay. Radvinsky received $701 million in dividends in 2024 alone. His estimated net worth was an eye popping $4.7 billion.
West Hollywood has its own connection to OnlyFans. WEHOonline reported in February on Joshua Eddy, a West Hollywood man and OnlyFans creator with 306,000 Instagram followers who was arrested at PortMiami while boarding a Royal Caribbean cruise. Eddy, 41, worked as a Global Client Lead at Meta. He faces a mandatory minimum three years in prison on an MDMA trafficking charge.
A Platform With a Wide Gap Between Top and Bottom
West Hollywood residents spent $1.9 million on OnlyFans in 2025, according to spending research data pulled together by OnlyGuider. That number grabs your eye. For a small city of roughly 35,000 people, that’s a lot. For queer creators and artists in town, OnlyFans became an important income source when clubs closed and adult film sets went dark during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The platform has 305 million users and 4.6 million creators. Here’s the rub (pardon the pun), the average creator only earns about $131 a month after the platform takes its 20 percent cut. The top 0.1 percent of creators capture roughly 76 percent of all revenue.
Blac Chyna is reported to earn around $20 million a month on the platform. Bella Thorne made $2 million in her first week when she joined in 2020. That debut led the company to cap tips and individual pay-per-view charges. Independent creators said the policy change cost them income.
Some called it gentrification of their workspace.
Baywatch alum Carmen Electra joined in 2022 and reached the top 0.01 percent of earners within weeks. Rapper Iggy Azalea and Cardi B have also used the platform.
Controversies
The platform has had a complicated history with its own rules. In August 2021, OnlyFans announced it would ban sexually explicit content, citing pressure from banking partners. The backlash was immediate. Within days, the company reversed course. Sex workers who had built their livelihoods on the platform said the episode made clear how little protection they had.
This year, the company announced stricter policies on AI-generated content and deepfakes after deepfake attacks on creator accounts surged heading into 2026.
Radvinsky was also an investor and philanthropist. He donated $5 million to Ukraine relief in 2022. In 2024, he and his wife publicly supported a $23 million cancer research grant program at a gastrointestinal research foundation gala.
No information on survivors beyond his wife has been released. The family has requested privacy.
