I see some LASD Deputies working this event. Our “Defund the Police” City Council doesn’t object to having armed security at their public events. Why is that?
Good question.
“U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters (not yet confirmed)“
NOT YET CONFIRMED??
You were there, was Maxine there or wasn’t she??
F***ing illiterate…
+ attending a ground breaking for a memorial is a scared event; the majority of our city council looks like they were leaving a beer bust after it’s over. Respect for the memorial was lacking by those that championed it. Please use Sharon Stone as a properly dressed attendee. This city government needs desperately to step up, lead by example, return to proper decorum for elected officials and re-open city hall now.
Can we have anything nice, without someone complaining about it? I just don’t get it. Even on an article like this?
Absolutely right. Some people just don’t get it.
Your picture of Sharon Stone addressing the crowd from the podium is titled Mayor Lindsey Horvath. It’s incorrect. It should be corrected.
Mayor Horvath and Councilmember D’Amico are the only two that actually look like council members that are representing the city. The other three are an embarrassment. They’re not going to a backyard barbecue they’re representing the city – look the part!
Don’t ever leave home looking like a spectacle…….or acting like one. Respect for others starts at home with self respect.
“Actions” matter to me more than attire.
Adults can do both If they are representing the city they should look like they’re representing the city and not look like they’re going to go to the gym to work out.
Thank you. I think the same thing.
This was a casual event, and they can dress however they damn want to. That includes dressing down. This would not be the first time. Ever been to Halloween or LA Pride? It is not a formal city meeting.
