At approximately 2:05 p.m., Saturday afternoon, power went out across West Hollywood, impacting thousands of customers citywide, with at least one report of a couple stuck in an elevator. Power was reported being out (both electricity and internet service) from La Brea to the east, Mid-City and West Hollywood West, and Sunset Plaza to the north and as far south as Wilshire. We spoke with the owner of Veron Hair Studio on Hilldale Ave. in the Rainbow District, who told us they never lost power. Still, customers who live nearby had been coming in to charge their phones. We talked to other businesses in the District who confirmed they didn’t lose power either.
Shoppers at the Target near La Brea were still being allowed in to shop, but were told by employees not to purchase anything that required refrigeration as “they may not actually allow the purchase.” Security was also telling people when they entered the store to avoid “the darkest places and to use you phone’s flashlight if you need.” By approximately 4:00p power had been restored to most customers. As of publication, the cause was still under investigation.

I don’t know why I was shocked & endured frustration like none other.
Everything …. Well everything in and controlling every single part, aspect and even now a calm state of mind when my all in one Wifi internet etc when the router is powerless .
I survived just fine but again “I ought to but some kind of backup power” …
The power was restored at 4:00.
