Ian Schrager’s PUBLIC Hotel will occupy the former Standard Hotel location on Sunset Blvd. Schrager’s newest, innovative concept is coming soon. Schrager is also the owner of the West Hollywood EDITION, located at Doheny and Sunset Blvd.

FYI Ian Schrager does NOT own the Edition. He actually hasn’t been affiliated with it for years.
Correct, he does not OWN it but he operates it in conjunction with Marriott.
He does not operate it either. It’s fully under Marriott. He WAS a creative director that worked with Marriott to establish the brand, but that partnership ended.
Back in the day, this was a Senior Retirement Home.
