Rainbow District Winter Market Extends Vendor Deadline At West Hollywood Park

West Hollywood is getting a new holiday habit this year in the park. The Rainbow District Winter Market will pop up on the Great Lawn at West Hollywood Park on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days – more information here.

The Market will sit right next to the WeHo Winter Ice Rink, so skaters and shoppers will all be sharing the same stretch of holiday fun.

Organizers are aiming for a simple mix, local artists, small businesses, and independent makers who are used to presenting their work and inventory to pop ups and fairs.
Vendor deadline extended

The vendor application deadline for the Rainbow District Winter Market has been extended to Sunday, Nov. 24, giving exhibitors extra time beyond the original mid month cutoff.

The exhibitor fee is $250. That package includes a 10 by 10 foot space, a tent, one table, two chairs, overnight security, and a waived peddler’s permit fee, which means the paperwork is lighter than a normal street setup.

Because the Market is tied into a City supported event, there are limits on what you can sell. Items like alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, cannabis, and weapons are not allowed, and the City will review applications before confirming spots.

Daytime boost for the Rainbow District

The Market is part of a broader push to give the Rainbow District more to do outside bar hours. The District, that stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard from Doheny Drive to La Cienega Boulevard, has long been known for its LGBTQ clubs, restaurants, history and was recently designated as an official cultural landmark. Putting a daytime market in the park a block away is one more way to keep that energy going while the sun is still out.

For vendors, it is a built in audience. Thousands of people are already expected to come through for skating and other winter programming, and a booth on the lawn puts your work in front of residents, regulars, and even visitors who may be seeing the Rainbow District for the first time.

For locals, it is low effort. You can walk over, make a loop through the tents, grab a snack, watch people hang on to the rink rail, and head home with a gift or two. No tickets, no dress code, just a reason to swing by the park.

Vendor applications and full details run through event producer JJLA on the Rainbow District Winter Market page here.
