Rite Aid at Fairfax and Sunset to Close June 23

The Rite Aid located at 7900 Sunset Blvd, at the corner of Fairfax Avenue, will permanently close on June 23.

All prescriptions will be transferred to the Ralphs Pharmacy at 7257 Sunset Blvd, near Fuller Avenue — locally known as Rock and Roll Ralphs.

This closure is part of Rite Aid’s Chapter 11 restructuring, which includes shutting down 300 locations nationwide. The company currently operates approximately 1,200 stores across the U.S.

I’m surprised it lasted this long. Have you been in there lately? It’s depressing.

In all fairness it should be mentioned that Rite Aid is also closing over 500 Drug Stores all over the country and NOT just in the city of West Hollywood or the State of California. The Philadelphia-based Rite Aid company has been closing stores for years before its first bankruptcy filing in 2023. This has NOTHING to do with any of West Hollywood’s or California’s Left/Liberal policies on much of anything. The right-wing conservative failed policies at the root of this problem are a topic of another posting.

The root of the problem…….is the break down of societal norms…..brought to us by the D Party. CA has essentially normalized shoplifting and all other sorts of activities that greatly diminish the quality of life. Rite Aid is just one of many retailers that cannot survive in this environment.

The Rite Aid corporation did NOT mention any of that in both of their bankruptcy filings and, clearly would if it had ANY relevance. Jurors in the New York criminal trial against Donald Trump unanimously convicted him of 34 felony counts of falsified business records. The details of those 34 felony counts are online. To hold a paid position as a Judge in the United States, an individual MUST be a U.S. citizen.
