Rooftop Fire Closes WeHo’s 24 Hour Fitness and Eastbound Santa Monica Blvd.

West Hollywood’s 24 Hour Fitness gym was evacuated at 11 a.m. today and eastbound Santa Monica Boulevard was closed at Westbourne because of a fire.

According to someone on the scene, an air conditioner caught fire on the roof of 24 Hour Fitness, which is located at 8612 Santa Monica Blvd. at Westbourne. Fire fighters expected the gym to be evacuated and the eastbound lane of Santa Monica to be closed for an hour.
