San Vicente Bungalows thinks it smells a rat. No, not that kind. More like a dirty rat — of the human form.
The swanky celeb spot doesn’t think it had a rodent problem. It thinks it had a sabotage problem.
The West Hollywood members only club sent a letter to their employees alleging a staffer brought a dead rodent onto the property and planted it. This according to Page Six. The club is offering $10,000 to, well, rat out the rat.
LA County Department of Public Health inspectors closed an event kitchen at the club at 845 N. San Vicente Blvd. over a vermin violation last month. Club CEO Jess Wilner said at the time that the affected space was a separate kitchen under renovation, not used to prepare or serve food. A health inspector came in, a few items were noted, handled same day, approved within 48 hours. The main kitchen has been open throughout.
The club never publicly characterized the rodent as planted. It’s dropping that bomb now though.
A club that finds its leakers
San Vicente Bungalows is owned by Jeffrey Klein and membership is invitation-only. You need a nomination by a current member. Photos are forbidden. It’s so secretive members aren’t even allowed to discuss what or who they witness inside. Yeah, right. Good luck with that, gurrrrl. The clientele has included Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Steven Spielberg, and Netflix executive Ted Sarandos.
Klein has run internal investigations before. When Page Six reported in 2019 that Spielberg and Sarandos had met at the club, Klein told GQ his team had already narrowed the source of the leak to three people.
WEHOonline has reached out to San Vicente Bungalows for comment and to find out whether anyone has taken the bait. 🐀🧀🪤
The Beverly Hills Children’s Academy at: 1105 N Laurel Ave,West Hollywood,CA 90046..Has a rat infestation, and yet the owner keeps allowing people inside to view the place, not mention a homeless person might burn the place down because it’s an abandoned building, without any security guards watching the place..!
Spielberg went there to have a BIG BIG meeting because he was very concerned, as am I, that Netflix and such are destroying the line between the emmys and the oscars.
So, someone planted the rat on the same day that the unannounced inspector happened to show up?? Hum.
