Seth Peterson, a gay adult film performer, died last week. He was 28. His family has questions.
His fiancé, Cyrus Stark — who performs under the name Kobe Marsh — announced the death on Peterson’s X account on March 21. “It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my fiancé and best friend Seth,” Stark wrote. “I’m truly at a loss for words, and my heart is broken.”
Peterson’s mother, Tiffany Aguirre, told TMZ her son had been staying alone at a short-term rental in Portland, Oregon. She said Stark called her last Saturday to say Peterson had not been responding to phone calls for several days.
Tiffany contacted Portland police to request a welfare check. Officers responded and found a deceased male at the rental. Police have not confirmed the identity, but Tiffany told TMZ it was her son.
His death is not being investigated as a homicide.
Tiffany flew to Portland this week. She visited the rental home and found drug paraphernalia. She told TMZ she fears her son suffered an accidental drug overdose. No official cause of death has been determined.
Stark launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses. As of Friday morning it’s raised $6,720 of a $9,000 goal.
Peterson, whose legal name was Adam Daniel Aguirre, was born in Redondo Beach and entered the adult film industry in 2020. He appeared in 24 films and 36 scenes, including productions with NakedSword and Falcon Studios, and earned multiple award nominations.
Fellow performer Alex Cohen paid tribute on Instagram. “I will miss you brodi,” Cohen wrote. “So beyond a loss for words for such a great man and friend. One of the coolest dudes I ever had the privilege to meet and be friends with.”
Content creator Rocky Heron also shared a tribute. “Every interaction I had with him was kind and genuine,” Heron wrote. “He was someone with a big heart, a lot of passion, and a depth that not everyone understood.”
Peterson’s final Instagram post was dated Oct. 5, 2025. It showed him and Stark at Burning Man. He captioned it: “Had the best birthday with you.”
