Studio Blowouts West Hollywood, the Rainbow District’s first ever blow dry bar is opening soon at 8805 Santa Monica Blvd.
Studio Blowouts is being launched by owner Christopher Everett Florez, who is positioning the West Hollywood shop as a focused, single-service concept, wash-and-style only, built for quick appointments and repeat customers. In his public posts, Florez has tied his name directly to the business and the 8805 Santa Monica Blvd. location, sharing progress on the build-out and framing the opening as a new kind of beauty service for the Rainbow District, one that’s designed to run efficiently and consistently, without the broader menu of a traditional salon.

A blow dry bar is a specialized salon focused solely on washing, drying and styling hair.
No cuts, or color. You just come to get blown.
The fun of a blow dry bar is the experience. It’s a pampering experience, a pre-event prep, or a quick touch up before a hot date.
Blow dry bars became a national trend over the past decade by narrowing the salon experience to one service, the wash and blowout. The model, popularized by chains like Drybar and Blo, stripped away cuts and color in favor of speed, consistency, and a set menu of styles. The appeal was simple. Clients could book a predictable, hour-long appointment, get camera-ready hair, and walk out without the time or cost of a full salon visit. What started as a niche service for events and nights out has grown into a standalone category in the beauty industry, especially in urban neighborhoods where people want quick, polished results without the long commitment.
Some blow dry bars promote a social experience often shared among friends. One of the most popular events is a Girls Day Out. Groups often book for bachelorette parties, or birthdays. The environment typically features “chick flicks,” trendy decor, and complimentary drinks like mimosas or wine.
For the record, it is not the first, there is at least one in Sunset Plaza. This is the first in The Rainbow D., nee Boystown.
There was a blow-dry bar on Sunset in Sunset Plaza for a few years. Closed now. Hope this one lasts longer!
When I first saw this headline, I thought it meant a bar that didn’t serve alcohol & was thinking fat chance.
