“Summer on Sunset” Returns

Featuring promotions, events, and a tribute to music history Spinning Sunset: A Free Vinyl Wax Fair Celebrating the Legendary Sound of the Sunset Strip.

This summer, The Sunset Strip is turning up the heat with the return of Summer on Sunset, a season-long celebration featuring travel deals, dining specials, hotel packages, and immersive experiences designed to spotlight The Strip’s rich legacy and lively present — from its rooftop views to its iconic venues.

At the heart of this year’s programming is Spinning Sunset: A Vinyl Wax Fair, which pays homage to the Strip’s iconic music legacy, venues, and voices. On Saturday, August 16th from 1-7PM, this one-day celebration pays homage to the Strip’s legendary sound and history — the same stretch of pavement that launched or played host to The Doors, Janis Joplin, Fleetwood Mac, and countless others.

Spinning Sunset will transform The Pink Dot parking lot on the Sunset Strip into a daytime vinyl and music memorabilia market, showcasing indie record shops, vintage clothing vendors, and exclusive band merch, and curated vinyl DJ sets throughout the day. Surrounding businesses will also host vinyl-based events and specials, turning the entire Strip into a living tribute to LA’s rock ‘n’ roll soul. RSVP for Spinning Sunset is encouraged but not required through EventBrite.

Full programming for Spinning Sunset can be found on the EventBrite and www.thesunsetstrip.com/spinningsunset/ and for more information on Summer on Sunset, please visit www.thesunsetstrip.com/summeronsunset/

Anything in a restaurant or hotel on the Sunset Strip is pretty much just a celebration for the wealthy elite. None of those restaurants listed above are affordable to me.
