The Bank of America located at 8921 Santa Monica Blvd. was robbed on Monday afternoon.    The suspect left the bank at approximately 2:30 pm and proceeded east where he was apprehended in front of the BlockParty store two blocks east.    An eyewitness stated that approximately six officers from the  Los Angeles County Sheriff department tackled the suspect after using a taser on the suspect.

An employee at Bank of America told WEHOonline that the suspect stood on line with other customers to see the next teller.    The robber approached the teller with a note that stated “give me $500, and that he has a gun”.   The teller gave the male suspect the money who then left the bank walking east on Santa Monica Blvd. before being tackled by a member of the LASD.

Crazy that this happened right across from the sheriff’s station! Glad they caught the guy quickly, and no one was hurt.
