Six weeks after a crane dropped the prefabricated structure into place, Runyon Canyon’s first-ever permanent restroom is closing in on completion at the Fuller Avenue entrance.
Fresh concrete now surrounds the yellow-block building, and the two-stall, all-gender facility — which also includes a pair of drinking fountains — looks essentially ready for use. A portable toilet still sits nearby, suggesting the city hasn’t cut the ribbon yet. Construction debris and unfinished grading around the perimeter indicate some landscaping and pathway work remain.

The $961,000 project was approved by the LA Department of Recreation and Parks Board in 2024 after years of community debate. The park draws roughly 2 million visitors a year and had never had a permanent restroom until the structure was delivered February 13.
