“The Enforcer” Returns to Oversee Saturday Night Gang Of Hot Dog Vendors

“The Enforcer,” as identified by one business nightclub owner, returned on Saturday night to protect his workers on the sidewalks of WeHo. The “Enforcer” is in charge of the security crew that overseas swarms of illegal hot dog vendors have taken over the streets and sidewalks of West Hollywood.

Street vendors “report” to the “street manager” on their phones to report any harassment by any of the bar owners or their staff. “The Enforcer” then moves in to protect the vendor and their placement on the sidewalk. One staff member at a local club who did not want to be identified for fear of having his name or business included told WEHOonline, “It has gone on for so long, they crept in deeper and deeper and now they own the streets.”

Baddie_Blast, the pop-up bar serving alcohol on the sidewalks of WeHo, and our winner of the 2025 “Creative Illegal Street Vendor Award.”   Baddie_Blast is seen here moving her mobile drinks between Green Qween and Beaches Tropicana this past Saturday night.   She in the pic on the left with her head pulling a drink out her mobile cold storage unit.

There are no posts on Instagram this past weekend announcing their appearance, but the above post in the middle is from from Dec. 8 and shows the big party right in front of BlockParty. Next door, both Micky’s and Revolver are forced to comply with Alcohol and Beverage Commission regulations and absorb the high cost of doing business in WeHo, but baddie_blast continues to serve drinks illegally on the sidewalks of WeHo without any enforcement by the Sheriff or the City of West Hollywood’s Code Compliance.

Owners are feeling threatened. Staff are feeling intimidated.

The next City Council meeting is Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. at the City Council Chambers. I urge business owners and concerned residents to speak up and take back our streets and sidewalks for our guests, residents, and legal businesses along the Boulevard.

This is really making the town look horrible. I can’t believe that anybody should be allowed to commandeer a public sidewalk and set up business.

Sidewalk vendors are under attack all over CA. I’m skeptical of the claims in this article and these negative comments. If people truly are being threatened then call the cops. You don’t need some new law or regulation, threatening people is a crime, period. These are not vending issues, please don’t blame vendors for criminals. I personally don’t want to pay more for food, sidewalk vendors bring prices down. If a vendor is blocking the sidewalk, that’s not legal, call the cops if you see a crime being committed. Better yet Call the city and ask for a code enforcement… Read more »

Apparently you have only skimmed over this article and have not read any of the eleven comments before you posted yours.

You need to catch up on the issue before you comment your very poorly informed opinions.

None of the complaining comments matter here, or actually ever. About any story in WeHo. You can’t get around the fact that if people weren’t buying food from these people, they wouldn’t keep coming back! So if you have a problem, you’re going to have to take it up with the customers. They seem pretty happy. It’s a real shame you’re not.

Meanwhile on Saturday morning WeHo community enforcement truck drove down Lloyd, stopped, and asked why I was having my sewer line hydro jetted on a Saturday. I explained we had an emergency backup on Christmas Day. He asked if I could I keep the generator noise down. The drilling took 15 minutes.
This is really a f’d up city.

No it’s not.
Code enforcement coming out for noise complaints is great for all tenants and owners in our fine city.

Friday night there was altercation with enforcer harassing mickys staff. The hot dog vendors were literally in front of club and mickys staff asked them to move. Mickys serves food on their patio so not fair for hot dog vendors To be right across from them trying to sell especially with no permits

WeHo. Always fascinating. A bunch of reported gang-members (if you can believe this website) are protecting illegal, unlikened cars selling food which is them dumped onto the sidewalk to become a biohazard so bad that they have to close the sidewalk to clean it it, and Councilmember Hang bravely wants to “study” this. Of course hiss overseers on the Council put a stop to that.

These are illegal carts. They are not licensed, regulated, or inspected. They should be confiscated and the vendors arrested.

As well as their “enforcers.”

This is exactly the same business model in Mexico, namely Tijuana. Everybody pays a fee to be in the spot they occupy. The legit businesses suffer because of the competition from these illegal food vendors selling food. Regulation needs to be done somehow.

City Council majority doesn’t care so the PD doesn’t either.

The Sheriff’s Department stated at a recent Public Safety Commission meeting that they had been alerted about about the vendor selling alcohol but had not actually been able to cite the person as they can be pretty elusive. But with the City giving cover to all illegal street vendors, the Sheriff is unlikely to put much effort into making any arrests which might provoke charges of racism from certain City Council members.

It’s high time the district attorney launched a corruption investigation into John Erickson. And it’s time for Erickson’s state senate primary competition to start filming campaign ads in the Rainbow District on Saturday night.

Thank you so much for your continued coverage of this issue. They must be stopped.

It blows me away that folks like John D’Amico helped create this mess. I heard that Danny Hang was his secretive, or not so secretive, throuple partner, which makes sense. Why else would push so hard to get someone elected who has zero experience and has barely even lived in West Hollywood. John, plus the radicalized Hank Scott, who is clearly a paid operative for Unite Here, have done a lot of damage to this city.

I heard the same thing about Hang / D’Amico. Sickening. Who the heck is Hank Scott though?

I think it is time this website looks into Hang. Who is he, what are his motives. Also have heard this rumour multiple times lately, yet I’ve also heard Hang was critical former Chamber of Commerce members for their similar affairs.

I have also heard people say that he reeks of alcohol when they approach him at the city council meetings!
Is he using booze to buoy up his courage to speak?
That could be, because he seems to have difficulty contributing unless he is reading pre-prepared remarks.
West Hollywood deserves better!

I believe it. One would have to be drunk to behave as he does during the council meetings.

Hang was on the business license commission prior to his union buying him a council seat. A clueless social worker – just what we need on the business license commission.

The guy is a disease that’s infected West Hollywood. Someone please start a recall on him and Erickson.

It’s only going to get worse. We’ve been overrun by the third world.

Now politicians (looking at you Minneapolis) know they can win by pandering to these groups. The reasonable moderate American voters no longer matter.

It’s not just hot dogs carts. There are full restaurants set up on sidewalks all over LA. They have no permits, no health inspections and collect no taxes. Everyone knows this is happening……but our politicians are more interested in staying in office. The police won’t do anything because the mayor doesn’t want trouble with these people.

I’m not sure it’s reversible at this point.

Do these people have enough customers to continue selling food on the street endlessly? All over the city? Sounds like you’re describing something a lot of very diverse people happen to like. Sounds very familiar…oh that’s right you do that same thing to everything, that’s your whole existence. Whatever it is you’re not a fan of, it’s usually something pretty enjoyable to tons of other people.

A lot of very diverse people love ladies and kids working for MS-13 enforcers selling hotdogs?
