Vyto Adomaitis has resigned his position as Neighborhood and Business Safety Manager at West Hollywood City Hall.
Adomaitis is said to have left on good terms for an “offer he could not refuse,” according to a co-worker inside City Hall. He returns to the City of Goleta, where he was previously employed for nearly 20 years. His new position will be with the Goleta Water District.
Adomaitis formerly worked for the City of Goleta but left in 2021 for a new role as Community Development Director for the City of Oxnard. Shortly thereafter, he accepted a position with the City of West Hollywood.
Anita Shandi, Public Safety Manager for the City of West Hollywood, is overseeing Adomaitis’ responsibilities until a replacement is announced. Shandi also oversees the National Night Out events, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 3.
Interesting year we’ve had. They fired Lorena, Finance Director. Pushed Christof, Director of Human Services and Rent Stabilization, into early retirement. Yet the most toxic directors remain untouched. Favoritism?
Can’t wait for the drama that will follow after Wilson leaves. Who will be the next City Manager? Jackie? Danny? Janet? Paolo? Laura? Bobby? Yvonne? Doesn’t make a difference who of the mentioned will be the next city manager because they are one in the same.
The mere fact that this article was written to say he departed in good terms proves otherwise. I’m a city employee and I do not recall getting the “all staff goodbye” email sent by employees who truly left in good terms. Was it the firing of whistleblowers Jeff Jones that triggered Adomaitos’ exit? Or did he become a liability following unethical directions from his director? We will never know. Maybe this is a lesson for new city hires, don’t follow instructions blindly because the head that will roll is yours, not those above you.
We all know the people in the code department are subservient. They don’t want to be fired like Jeff and Ana. They were made examples of.
No tears lost over this anti-gay character being “hushed away” from the City of West Hollywood: Time to “clear the house” of individuals that never intended to make our City better and we’re merely hired to parade and execute agendas for people still in positions of power. The entire Code department acts within questionable boundaries! We are happy to know attention is focused where it must be: Rid the City of miss-aligned characters!
He is a LGBTQI Hater? Proof please. Spreading rumors is inappropriate.
