West Hollywood’s public safety agencies have released their reports for March 2025, highlighting trends in law enforcement, emergency response, and safety outreach efforts across the city.
Sheriff’s Station Activity
The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station responded to 1,661 calls for service in March, resulting in 124 arrests. Deputies issued 464 citations, including 12 related to scooters and 30 for driving under the influence (DUI).
Property crimes remained a major concern. There were 145 reported thefts, 21 auto thefts, and 20 vehicle burglaries. Robbery reports totaled 11 incidents citywide. Deputies also engaged in 76 proactive contacts with unhoused individuals, connecting 40 to services.
Security Ambassadors Report
West Hollywood’s Safety Ambassadors maintained a strong presence, reporting 2,003 hospitality assists and 2,887 business contacts — a 21% year-over-year increase. Outreach efforts included 617 interactions with unhoused individuals, up 28% from March 2024.
The Ambassadors responded to 293 calls for service and performed 11 safety escorts. Improper scooter parking incidents decreased by 19% compared to the previous year, with 223 reports. Sheriff assistance was requested 13 times, and EMS/fire support was needed in 8 incidents.
Across high-traffic areas like Santa Monica Boulevard, Melrose Avenue, and Sunset Boulevard, bicycle patrols covered 351 miles. New patrol areas, including Veterans Park and La Jolla, contributed to a rise in total kiosk contacts compared to the prior year.
