The WeHo Loves Locals Gift Card is coming back for the holidays, and this round comes with a 50 percent bonus for buyers.
The City of West Hollywood and Visit West Hollywood are bringing back the WeHo Loves Locals gift card for a second run, this time lined up with the post Thanksgiving shopping stretch. The aim is to nudge more spending toward neighborhood businesses, not big box stores or sites far from town.
Starting Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, people can buy one digital WeHo Loves Locals gift card in a set amount. While the City’s funding lasts, that purchase will also trigger a separate bonus card loaded with half the value of the original card.
Here is how the numbers work out:
A $50 card comes with a $25 bonus card.
A $100 card comes with a $50 bonus card.
A $200 card comes with a $100 bonus card.
A $300 card comes with a $150 bonus card.
Each person can make one purchase during this round of the program, and that one purchase is what unlocks the bonus.
Cards are digital and can be used at participating West Hollywood businesses listed here.
The program includes a mix of restaurants, retailers, salons, fitness studios and cultural spots within the city’s 1.9 square miles. New businesses will be added over the course of the program, so the list of places that accept the card is expected to grow.
According to the City, the goal is simple. Give people a little extra spending power while keeping dollars in West Hollywood and driving traffic to neighborhood storefronts. The WeHo Loves Locals gift card is valid at participating businesses only, and the 50 percent bonus offer continues while City-funded supplies last.
The WeHo Loves Locals Gift Card program is open to anyone, not just residents. Locals can use it to stretch their regular spending, and visitors can pick it up as a way to explore local shops and experiences without committing to a single business in advance.
West Hollywood businesses that are not yet participating are encouraged to opt in here.
Enrollment is open to eligible West Hollywood businesses that want to be part of the program and accept the digital cards.
Full terms, restrictions and availability are posted on www.weholocals.com. For additional information about the WeHo Loves Locals Gift Card program, contact Laura Biery, the City of West Hollywood’s Economic Development Director, at (323) 848-6828 or lbiery@weho.org.
This is an easy and financially sensible way for one to support West Hollywood small businesses. Kudos to those who conceived this program!
I have purchased both rounds myself and have convinced others to as well. I have happily used mine at Koontz Hardware and WeHo Bistro, and another has used his at Dialog Cafe. Good at Block Party too!
Great holiday gift!
