City Staff seems intent on pushing the proposed Hotel/Mixed Use project at 7811 Santa Monica Blvd. through even though Faring has proven to be the least credible and perhaps the least qualified developer in West Hollywood. As seen by the Robertson Lane and the French Market Projects, which were approved years ago, Faring is not to be trusted and probably does not have the funding lined up for this new project, which will demolish Brick and takes in a 12 unit formerly rent controlled building on Ogden. Truly baffling. Does the mayor, vice mayer and council members not care that they are constantly being made fools of by Faring, plus don’t seem to mind the harm to their reputations? Not a good look.
