After days of online frustration over why West Hollywood, a city known for its progressive values and history of activism, wasn’t hosting its own “No Kings Rally,” residents have decided to take matters into their own hands.
A community-organized “No Kings Rally” is now set for Saturday, October 18, 2025, at noon, at the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard.
The move comes in response to growing frustration among residents and neighborhood groups who, along with WeHoOnline questioned why Beverly Hills, not West Hollywood, was the site of the closest organized protest against Trump’s appearance.
The city staff, under the direction of David Wilson, is all about securing their huge salaries and NOT about West Hollywood. David himself makes $347,729.00. And my interactions with Melissa Crowder and Yvonne Quarker, were intensly disgusting. The mayor is more than happy to use her position to take stands on issues halfway around the world (with no connection to our city), but can’t be bothered to get off her smarmy, slimy a** and stand up for democracy in America.
