The West Hollywood Sheriff’s reports Scott Silva who had been missing since Sunday has been found alive and is being treated. His family said, “Thank you for looking and praying!”

Scott Silva hasn’t been seen since Sunday. He was last seen near the 7200 block of Fountain Ave. His sister is desperate for your help to find him.
Scott is 55 years old and lives on Fountain Ave. His sister, Shellie Henrie, and two of Scott’s best friends are desperately trying to find him. What’s especially tough on Henrie is she’s doing it from Pennsylvania, where she’s recovering from surgery and can’t get on a plane yet. WEHOonline spoke with Henrie Wednesday morning. Both her fear and her worry were understandable and undeniable.
Henrie said Silva was diagnosed bipolar in 2019. Right now he’s believed to be in an episode — severely paranoid, not lucid.
“He’s incredibly smart. He’s just a very gentle natured person,” Henrie said.
Silva works retail in Beverly Hills. Outside of that he doesn’t really leave the neighborhood — not a partier, Henrie said, more of a routine guy. Heads to the gym most days, then his favorite Trader Joe’s, then home.
His best friend and the friend’s husband have been driving the neighborhood since Sunday night looking for him. They stayed out until 3 a.m. Monday. Went back out Monday during the day. Went back out again Tuesday, still nothing.
Henrie said almost the same thing happened a year ago in June. Silva thought people were coming to get him and took off from his house. Friends found him three blocks away — one flip flop, no shirt, sunburned, dehydrated, couldn’t figure out how to get back home even though he was practically standing on his own block. It’s especially troubling for Silva’s family and friends as the search moves into day four.
A missing persons report has been filed with the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. Henrie said the case has already gone to the homicide unit, which she was told handles missing persons for adults after a period of time. She left a message with investigators Wednesday morning, just before we spoke. She was told local hospitals were checked when the report went in — no John Doe matching his name or his description. West Hollywood’s security ambassadors are also in the loop to be on the lookout.
Henrie is asking people in West Hollywood to watch for him and call the Sheriff’s Station at (310) 855-8850 with anything at all. WEHOonline reached out to the Sheriff’s to confirm more details and will update the story as they become available.
“I absolutely believe in the power of prayer,” Henrie said. “If you are inclined, please pray he is found safe.”
