West Hollywood Seeks Applicants for New Business Task Force

The City of West Hollywood has launched applications for its newly established Business Task Force, a volunteer advisory group aimed at strengthening the city’s diverse business community. The deadline to apply is Friday, August 1, 2025, at 5 p.m. Interested individuals can find details and submit applications at go.weho.org/businesstaskforce.

The Business Task Force will unite business owners, industry experts, and community leaders to offer guidance on business recovery, economic development, and strategies for long-term resilience. The group will play a vital role in identifying practical solutions to enhance West Hollywood’s business environment, fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and workforce growth.

Comprising nine members, the task force will represent a broad spectrum of West Hollywood’s industries, including restaurants and bars, hotels and tourism, retail, design, arts organizations, and personal care services. City staff will select members through an interview process, ensuring the group reflects the diverse perspectives and sectors of the local business community.

The task force is a temporary advisory body, with meetings tentatively set for the second Wednesday of odd-numbered months at 2 p.m., in-person or virtually, on September 10, 2025; November 12, 2025; January 14, 2026; March 11, 2026; May 13, 2026; and July 8, 2026.

Business Task force. LOL They didn’t listen to business leaders before they implemented their extreme, progressive policies that have destroyed so many small businesses! Shyne, Erickson, Horvath, Byers…they are directly responsible for so many shuttered businesses in this city over the last few years. WeHo is NOT a business friendly town and it won’t be any time soon so long as they are in power. Vote differently people.

Yeah, and any advisory group that meets once every two months will generate zero momentum to gain any traction to influence the City on anything.

This is the City’s check the box “we were advised by the business community” while they decide to pass a commercial vacancy tax as they to try recoup the lost tax revenue caused by all their “progressive” policies.
