By noon Saturday, West Hollywood residents had gathered on Santa Monica Blvd. between San Vicente and Robertson—long recognized as the city’s traditional protest site—for what became the No Kings Rally West Hollywood, a grassroots demonstration that drew roughly 100 to 150 people by early afternoon. The crowd was loud but peaceful, with drivers honking in support as participants held “creative” handmade signs ranging from the serious to the hilarious.

The event was not organized by City Hall. It came together organically after residents expressed frustration earlier in the week that West Hollywood had not planned its own rally. As one longtime resident put it, this was “WeHo doing what WeHo does best.” Councilmember Lauren Meister, who led the city’s previous No Kings rally with her sister Debbie, used a bullhorn to address the crowd. When asked why she was there she told WeHoOnline, “we’re all protesting a president who wants to be king. There are no kings in America. That’s why we have the Constitution, that’s why they had the tea party, and we cannot forget history. We have to be out there to tell our government that this is not acceptable. No kings.”

Residents echoed a similar message. Danielle, a West Hollywood local, told us she attended “because I love America, and I hate our current president and this administration—they’re ruining our democracy, and I want to protect it and do what I can.” Aiden Dalton added, “I’m here to protect our Constitution. Donald Trump is actively threatening it, and we need to stand up and make sure we fight for our country.”
The crowd included residents of all ages. Longtime activist Steve Zlick said the turnout reflected a long-standing local tradition. “When there’s anything we want to make better in America, this is where people gather to do it. After nine months we can’t take it anymore, and most of America is with us.”
A lone Trump supporter also made an appearance but not for the rally. “MAGA Bruce,” as he calls himself, told us he wasn’t attending the rally but had come to the corner as usual. “I have an American flag. What’s more anti-monarchy than that?”
By mid-afternoon, the No Kings Rally West Hollywood was still growing. It wasn’t sanctioned or scheduled, but in West Hollywood, it didn’t need to be. Residents showed up anyway.

Yey!
Well this sucks–if I had know about it I would have been there.
Millions Gather To Express Total Ignorance About Political System
Shaddup 🤡
The only thing any of these misguided fools have in common is that they all hate their dads/stepdads…
It’s just that simple.
Don’t overthink it.
Huh?
Exactly!! This guy makes zero sense.
I think you’re the misguided FOOL
I think your problem is that you haven’t been laid in a long time, so you’re angry at all the gays that find you repulsive and you lash out cuz of you incel status.
When your worldview boils down to: “did I ejaculate today?”, I’m not sure you’re in a position to critique other people’s opinions about things that don’t necessarily involve the generative urges
Pets have a giant carbon footprint. No one takes responsibility for that.
Hahahahahahaha
Someone should tell these clowns that a fascist king would never allow a protest.
Ridiculous that the City did not “officially” participate!!! WTF, this is West Hollywood. All of our representatives should be kicked out of office. Shameful and an embarrassment to our city that they did not get something organized with the national NO KINGS organization and that all of them were NOT out on the streets yesterday.
I hope the city council won’t just assume Meister’s on it, and not drop the ball on the next one. And there must be a next one.
We’ve got the numbers as a percentage of the U.S. population. But for the monarchy to fall, so the theory goes, the protest must be sustained. No Kings II showed that this is possible.
Silly protest. America dodged a bullet by rejecting Kamala Harris for president.
Girl.
So true.
Yep
Ok Ham 🤡
Yup. The American people voted. These people just can’t handle the results.
Exactly. The D Party may never get back to the center again. The far left has control of the party.
Not “The People”, the “Extremist Fringe” That is the Democrat Antifa Party now.
More like a missile
At least council member Meister was there, IN West Hollwood, where were the other council members?
Why didn’t she attempt to do something at the council level? It’s not like she doesn’t have a platform?!?!
The American people voted to deport all illegals.
Etheridge aka HAM
Love how Lauren Meister is front and center in the picks. Why didn’t she plan something citywide? She’s a fraud.
