LA Pride 2013 featured more than 130 entries in Sunday’s parade. Here are 10 floats and exhibits that got the biggest cheers from the crowd.

Micky’s Gay Bar

The popular gay bar, known for its go-go dancers, didn’t disappoint with its yearly “flaming fire truck” stocked full of muscle men shaking their stuff. This year, however, there was a surprise on the very back of the fire truck: WeHo Jesus.

WeHo Jesus, aka Kevin Lee Light, said in years past he’s joined the Comedy Store float, but this year they didn’t have a float. So, he showed up at the parade staging area and asked Micky’s folks if he could join them.

WeHo Dodgeball

WeHo Dodgeball made a splash in its first year at LA Pride.

Founder Jake Mason put up $500 of his own money to construct a moving mini-dodgeball court.

“I’m praying it makes it all the way across the route,” said Mason before the parade. “It’s about 40 feet by 20 feet, with a couple people inside playing dodgeball.”

Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps

Their display Sunday culminated in soap spraying into the crowd as bikini- and swimsuit-clad men and women got their clean on.

Pasadena Scottish Pipes and Drums

An institution in Pasadena, this competitive “Grade 3 Pipe Band,” dedicated to the study and performance of Scottish bagpipe music, thrilled the crowd Sunday.

Chipotle

Eric Garcetti
